Spring 2024 Girls High School Program

This school year has brought some changes to our soccer program for high school age players. 

Although we can no longer offer a season with matches against other high school teams, we can still have an exciting and competitive season of soccer, filled with camaraderie, skill development and fun.

Spring 2024 Information

Season dates

April 1, 2024 – June 9, 2024

3 practices / week –  Monday, Wednesday, Friday after school until 5:15PM at Viroqua High School Field

Games

3-4 games (home and away) with area club teams. More games may be scheduled, dates TBD.

Tournaments

Blaine, MN, National Sports Center Spring Cup, May 4-5

Eau Claire, WI Tournament, June 8-9

Competitive tournament soccer is new territory for our team, but an exciting opportunity as well!

In addition, intra-club matches with our boys high school team, older youth teams, as well as a game with the women soccer players in our community (think Community Classic!) will be scheduled, dates TBD

Fees

PER PLAYER Fee: $300.00 (not including uniform)

Fee includes tournament and hotel costs for the players

**Parents who chaperone and drive to tournament will have their hotel cost covered (up to 3 parents)**

Uniform

Full uniform kit (2 jerseys, 1 shorts, 2 socks) is $110.00. Individual  items may also be purchased. You do not need to purchase a uniform if you have one from last season.

The Future - Fall 2024 and Beyond:

As our school and community leaders work towards creating an opportunity for school based soccer, DUF will continue to provide the best club-based soccer experience that we can. 

We have learned about an exciting opportunity to play with a southern Wisconsin league called MAYSA! This league runs during the high school soccer "off-season" (girls in the fall, boys in the spring). Teams play 8 games.  Teams are located in the Madison metro area but also in communities such as Spring Green, Reedsburg, Platteville, and Richland Center.

The DUF Boys will be playing in the MAYSA league this spring and we anticipate that the high school girls will play in the MAYSA league in the fall of 2024.  What this means is, in the future, the girls will have their main season in the FALL and the boys in the SPRING. 

This change will allow girls and boys teams to have more game opportunities with other club teams closer to home.
